About Jennifer Welder:

Hi, I’m Jennifer (she/her)—a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist with a passion for fertility care, hormonal health and whole-person healing. I’ve spent over a decade helping people reconnect with their health on all levels—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—using a mix of ancient wisdom and modern integrative care. I am honored to support you!

Education & Experience

I’m a Board-Certified Integrative Fertility Specialist (American Board of TCM Reproductive Medicine/FABORM) and licensed acupuncturist with a Master’s degree in Classical Chinese Medicine. My training includes over 3,500 hours of classroom and hands-on experience, plus mentorship with Dr. Jeffrey Yuen—an 88th-generation Daoist priest and master of Chinese medicine.

The ABORM (American Board of TCM Reproductive Medicine) is a prestigious certification that shows I have advanced, specialized training in fertility acupuncture & consultation—so you can feel confident you’re receiving expert, evidence-based care tailored to reproductive health.

Before that, I earned a Bachelor’s in Social Work and spent a year in Guatemala working with an indigenous herbal medicine program that served Mayan communities—an experience that deeply shaped my approach to healing.

Over the years, I’ve co-founded the first Chinese medicine clinic in Madison County, provided acupuncture at a substance abuse recovery center, and built my own private practice in Asheville. I love the work I get to do every day.

📰 As Seen in Acupuncture Today
I was featured in Acupuncture Today for my work around creating emotionally safe, trauma-informed acupuncture experiences for female patients. The article explores how nervous system awareness and gender dynamic sensitivity can help women feel more supported—especially in fertility care, healing after loss, and other threshold moments.

Integrative Fertility Focus

Fertility care is one of my biggest passions. I’ve completed an in-depth mentorship in Integrative Fertility and Reproductive Medicine and continue to study both the Eastern and Western sides of reproductive health. I also bring personal experience to this work—I used both Eastern and Western care to conceive and carry my daughter through reciprocal IVF, and I love supporting others on assisted reproductive paths, such as IVF and IUI. I seek to be a blend of grounded knowledge in both Western and Eastern fields, as well as being open to intuition, so I can help be a guide with you through the fertility journey with informed decision making and inner wisdom.
